If you’re like me, you’re on Day 3 of your top New Year’s Resolution to start eating right and working out. And, if you’re really like me, by Day 4, you’ll have moved on to the resolution that made second place. (Kidding!)

Seriously, eating right and maintaining a robust fitness routine are no joke. Hence why I’ve stopped baking for, oh, a minute. While I’m still “on the wagon,” I thought you readers might enjoy a piece of writing from my “other life.”

In addition to being The Rescue Baker and a full-time Marketing Communications Director, I’m also the Fitness Editor for BELLA magazine. (As you can see, I’m a true marketer because I’m not above shameless self-promotion). I’m especially excited about the January issue of BELLA because I had the awesome pleasure of interviewing Devin Alexander, chef and host of Healthy Decadence on FitTV and author of The Biggest Loser Quick and Easy Cookbook. Devin’s recipes are designed to specifically help you not feel deprived when trying to stick to a healthy eating plan.

Be sure to check out my Well-Being column, featuring Devin’s recipe for S’mores Protein Pudding Pie in the January / February issue of BELLA NYC magazine, which hits newsstands across the tri-state area on January 11.

As always, feel free to drop me a line or leave a comment below and let me know what you think. Wishing you a Happy — and Healthy — 2012! :)
